Do I need to change my speedometer?

Dear all,
I've tried to find this out elsewhere on the site but please could someone clarify: I've recently bought my first Bongo and the speedometer is in KPH. The garage who sold it to me put it through an MOT and , needless to say, it wasn't an issue. However, I'm hearing that in the UK a speedometer must be in MPH. Can anyone clarify please?

I'm pretty sure you're right, it should be in MPH, so I'd start by asking the garage to rectify it.
If I remember you can fit a new dial or do an electronic upgrade, not sure how though.

This document on page 139 says;
2. A speedometer must be capable of indicating the vehicle speed in
miles per hour (mph) at uniform intervals not exceeding 20mph for
all speeds up to the maximum design speed of the vehicle. (see
Note 2.)

Your best bet is one of these either black or white,you can fit them in ten minutes only two screws …

I changed mine this week. Was fairly easy. You'll need to swap over the pin which the needle rests on. But before you replace the needle on the dial, reconnect the speedo to the van and turn the ignition on. The Bongo resets the speedo when you turn the ignition on, so the needle will move.
Then align the needle with Zero.
I used one of these, which matches the black dials on my Bongo well.
