Changing headlight bulbs (again, I know!!)

I realise this has been covered a million times but please just humour me!

I'm trying to get a pair of Osram Nightbreakers on my daughter's 2001 new shape Bongo

I just can't seem to get into the units to get the old ones out!

I can see the connector plug thing with the three (sort of fat T shape) lugs and I know I'm meant to pull that off then remove the circular rubber cover by the tag then I'm into the spring and clip assembly...in theory!

The problem is that when I pull on the connector it seems to come so far then it almost gets pulled back in. Is it just a question of brute force as I really don't want to break anything?

I did read one reply here to an earlier similar thread wher it was suggested that it was easier to first remove the headlight unit and only 3 or 4 bolts held it in. I can see the one obvious bolt above the headlight on the crossmember thingy but where are the others?

Thanks again in advance!

ps: on the back of each headlight unit there seems to be 2 plastic adjusters which turn a screw. Are they just to adjust the height of the beam?

It's okay, didn't realise there was a squeezy bit on the side of the connector and being a fully paid up member of the Fat Handed Tw*t club I couldn't feel what I was doing. Got em off now and also sussed how to get the grill off and the headlight units out which I'll do tomorrow as it's already getting a wee bit cold and dark up here!

We really should have bought this thing in the summer!

I watched it! I thought to myself that perhaps my new shape Bongo didn't have the squeezy bit whereas it was more a case of this:
