Welcome

From all i've read, its not a practical proposition. I've certainly never heard of anyone who has tackled it.

Thanks for the reply, I will not attempt this at the moment as I am a newbie lol.......
next question if you do not mind or a pointer in the right direction
The front air heater switch (turn switch 1-4)has not worked for six months was told about this when I got her, the rear works fine
heat comes through after a while from the front, the chap said he checked the fuses etc.I have it in for a re-spray at the moment so I cannot check anything yet... any ideas ? I have tried to search for info however not found anything relevant, have seen the photos of the snapped wires
Many Thanks Dave......
Ps does anyone sell English manuals the ones I've seen seem to be Japanese

The front fan speed switch problems are normally down to blown thermal fuses on the resistors that control the speed, these blow because water has got into the air intake system and corroded the fan motor causing the resistors to overheat and pop the thermal fuses.
First check the window screen scuttle plate and the drainage hole and pipe these get blocked and the overspill runs into the the air system, then remove the fan as per the images linked below;

If this shows up the problem then clean up and enlarge the drainage hole in the bottom of the fan, then check out the speed control resistor pack and resolder the the thermal fuses back down;

or you can replace all the bits with new for several hundred pounds
