seized/squeaking fan

any ideas would be greatly appriciated
ive been having probs with the air conditioning unit, firstly with the fan resistor unit but this now seems to be rectified (loose connection) but also with the fan when the aircon is turned on. it started making a noisy high pitch squeak then stopped altogether. i have just got access to it and it was a bit siezed, i have given it a push which has dislodged it but the squeaking is back. i am asuming that something needs oilying and think i recall a thread that metioned the bearings. could anyone confirm this and pass on instructions of how to do this job if its not to large.
many thanks in advance and sorry for the spelling mistakes.
:)

well fingers crossed i think i may have sorted out the squeaking problem. i, or rather my dad found an outlet by the fan for putting oil in (or atleast i hope thats what its for) well its solved the problem and the fan is now running very smooth and increadably quietly. the oil inlet is only visible once you start dismanteling the outer casing of the fan so is something that i imagin can be easily missed but takes 5 minutes to do and has stopped a whole lot of worry on my part :)

Glad you got it sorted friend.
I personally wouldnt know where to look, but your info will, no doubt point someone in the right direction when the squeek appears.

Thanks for the info,

Dave.
