I've been phoning up for quotes to have the bongo waxoiled. Most are coming in at £100 + vat and need the bongo about half a day but only one place has said they need it overnight to dry the car out before waxoiling starts, is this normal?

Look at:http://www.before-n-after.co.uk/techstuff.htm

Click on the 'rustproof your car in one day' link at the top. Bear in mind that a proper waxoyl job is as much about the preparation as the application - it needs to be really clean and dry.

I'd be doubtful of a proper deep job being completed in half a day; I cleaned the underside of mine this weekend ready to apply next weekend. There are various box sections etc that aren't going to dry in a few hours whether with an airline or not. It's no good just waxoyling as is as it will seal any crud etc in as well as out.

So I'd say the one who wants to keep it overnight is the more experienced one... Check out the prices on the above specialist site (do a search for rustbusters too) - a proper job is in excess of £400 :( so I'll be getting the compressor out!
