Bongo Fury

I read a thread on here that didn't throw a great light on AA pre-purchase inspections for Mazda Bongos. I don't want to be needlessly put off of what could be a good camper, so I'm asking if anyone has experienced AA/RAC pre-purchase inspections and their opinion of it.

Also, if you could recommend a garage near the Southampton area that will do prepurchase inspections and are good with Bongos, I would appreciate a name.
