Oil in exhaust fumes?

Hello! Im the new proud owner of a diesel 95 ford freda.
Its had a lot of work done to it and it seems to be in pretty good condition overall.
I have it backed up to my white garage door. (About a metre away maybe enough to open the tailgate) and I have started it a couple of times to pop the top.
Ive noticed quite a few black spots that look like oil on my garage door around where the exhaust is aiming at.
Could this be an indication of anything to worry about?

Welcome to the forum!!
Are sure it's not soot? Better park the other way round or you'll be in trouble

Seriously though, if the engine's burning oil you're likely to see blue smoke - and smell it too!

Better that way than completely oblivious to any potential issues, especially with a vehicle new to you. Anyway, enjoy

Probably due to the manner in which a diesel engine starts and the fuelling when the engine is 'cold'.

Was the vehicle a Private or Dealer purchase.
Take care.

it was a private purchase. Its had a lot of documented work done to it, so I'm 80% sure its not a complete shed
