Bongo Fury

Our free top is a bit worse for some years of neglect and is dull and lifeless.... Has anyone got any suggestions of ways to give it a spruce up and get it shiny and new(ish) looking?

T-Cut and polish?

Is it painted or self coloured? Not sure what it's actually made of, grp, abs plastic? Not sure if t cut would work unless I know what it's made of.

Try it on an inconspicuous area, as they say! Whether it's self coloured or painted a light abrasive should bring it back up if it's dulled. I'd go with Autoglym paint renovator, followed by AG Super Resin Polish then seal with a wax. Have fun!!

The stickers on the side of our freetop are pretty tatty and look really dated anyway.

What's the best way to get them removed from the fibreglass?

Underneath the grey top colour is white (ABS?) plastic. Mine has been kept reasonably shiny with waxing (i also used some sealer wax then was very hard to buff up but that i think fed the porous surface well - am on holiday so can't check its name)

If the polishing does not do it for you then a repaint might be worth considering. There are links to photos of my Greece Bongo after I painted it with a roller.
