My sliding door has been dented and I would like to know if they are double skinned, so I can assess whether it can be repaired or I will have to replace the door. Any info or advice would be appreciated.

Yes you have all the internal door mechanism for closing and pulling the door in, which I guess is on its own internal frame inside the skin.

there may be another solution as in tools panel beaters use these days, at my work we have about 20 panel beaters and instead of taking off everything and beating from the insinde they use a weld in slide hammer, basically its this long rod that tac welds on to the body and then they have a large weight on the rod and boom they hammer the dent out from the outide, its genius. dont know if you can get access to one but it would save you a lot of hassle and time. after that the usual fill sand prime and paint
