It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Stanworth, who was our Bongonaut of the Year for 2013. Despite having a double lung transplant himself Dave, a frequent visitor to our club meetings over the years, raised considerable amounts for the Heart/Lung Transplant fund at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Jillygumbo has informed us that Dave's funeral will take place on 1130 on Friday 27th April in Christ Church, Wellington, Telford. After the funeral people will head to Tackeroo to camp on Friday and Saturday nights and raise a glass to Dave.
Those of us attending the Southern Softies at Wallingford will also raise a glass on Friday night.

I've just checked Tackeroo website. The opening dates are:
Friday 30th March – Friday 20th April
Monday 30th April – Sunday 13th May
Therefore, the campsite will not be open on the weekend after Dave's funeral.
