There is a Fact Sheet in the Members' Area.

Sorry, don't have time to read it as I'm off to work, but it's there.

Good luck. [-o<

As Bob said, before he went to work at an unreasonable hour, there is a fact sheet about this in the member's area of the main website. In essence it will tell you that all Bongos are exempt from LEZ charge, but if your vehicle is shown as a motorcaravan on your log book, TfL will assume you are a motorhome over 3.5 tonnes and have to pay the charge. So you have to prove the weight of the Bongo and get back in touch.

The correct forms and instructions are in the fact sheet.

Have you appealed the fine online in the correct manner?
You have probably done this but did you check on TFL website if it is compliant.

Even if it was listed as a "motorcaravan" on the log book, it should still be exempt as it is under 3.5 tonnes. The problem is that the weight of the Bongo is rarely listed on the log book so TfL will assume it is over 3.5 tonnes. You can do one of 3 things.

1. Send in the pro-forma documentation that you will find in the LEZ fact sheet in the members area of the main BF website; or
2. Take the Bongo to a public weighbridge and get the weight documented and sent to TfL; or
3. Wait for a court summons

Bongos (of any type) will not meet Ultra LEZ criteria and will have to pay the daily charge. This is because the engines used are not Euro tested.

"Vehicles that do not meet Euro4 (petrol) or Euro6 (diesel) standards will have to pay a daily charge of £12.50."

Is there any kind of engine modification or filter that can make them compliant with the ULEZ regulations?

Not that we are aware of. Japanese engines were tested for Japanese emissions standards, and only met similar criteria to Euro 4/6 standards in 2009, 3 years after the last Bongo was produced.

TfL seem to be quite strict on this. Either a vehicle meets Euro 4 (petrol) or Euro 6 (diesel) or it doesn't.
