My leisure battery won't hold its charge, I'm not sure if its something as simple as replacing the battery or something else?

I'm also planning on buying a split charge system for the front leisure battery (Bespoke Auto Electrical Services has been recommended several times so thats what I'm going with)
Are the 2 leisure batteries connected? They must be :?
Will the split charge system alter how the rear battery functions from the factory setup?

If the circuits haven't been played with then the two leisure batteries are not connected in that sense at all, the original charging circuit for the kitchen module has no knowledge or connection with any added Split Charge Relay as the Bongo's weren't designed to have a LB fitted in the front position, hence the need for the SCR and a Swap loom.

Ah ok, I think I understand you. The rear leisure battery is only connected to the starter battery.
The rear LB only ever works after a good spin and at that it only works for a short while. Does this mean that it is charging ok and its the battery that's at fault?

If its an original battery I'm surprised it works at all to be honest, 20 year old lead acid batteries don't age well ;-)

Dunno why I took a picture of this  It says "Sub Battery 12v 27A" so I take it thats what I'm after as a replacement?

The date of the battery is often marked by hot stamping it into the plastic itself, some use labels but they tend to wear off over time.

Interesting, I'd not seen the factory kitchen before - proves I'm still new around here :D

Your local car shop will be able to do a simple test on the battery.
