Bongo Fury

Hi All,
Time for new tyres on my V6, old and starting to crack. Spec tyre, according to plate on drivers door, is 215/70/15 98S, for the rear.

As I tow a large race car trailer, I am planning on putting on a set of higher load rating tyres, Falken do one at 109, all round.

Question is - are there any legal implications, in UK/EU, of putting higher load rated tyres on a vehicle, than specified by the manufacturer ?
Similar question applies to using a wider tyre on the front - plate specifies 195 section.

Higher spec is fine, the rating is the minimum required.

Re the fronts: lots of peeps, me included, fit the same tyres all round and again I'd suggest they are above minimum spec.

Towing a heavy trailer air assistors can help a lot on the back. They don't increase the axle loading but don't half make the blunt end less bouncy. We have a pretty heavy caravan and found they make a big difference.

What tyre shop are people using?
Normal van rated tyres or is anyone using specialist camper/motor home tyres?

I bought mail order and purchased XL type slightly higher load rated car/mpv tyres.

I do not think the Bongo needs specific Van tyres mine is 2WD.

Previous owner had same size tyres all round, I changed out the fronts to OE size and much prefer the handling and feel from them.
