Side windows

So may be a daft question but do the side windows (on sliding door and opposite) supposed to open a bit via the black latch? I can see a couple of metal pins in the plastic cover that look to be stopping it from opening. Just wondered if this is standard not to open and if not what’s the best way of removing the pins?
Thanks

The door window, it's friend opposite, and o/s/r window should open an inch or so.
The n/s/r, rearwards of the sliding door is fixed as it would foul the door when opened.
Hope that helps.

I think the 'pins' to which you refer are part of the hinge. Don't remove them or you'll knacker the catch. The catches are intentionally quite stiff to open, and they clip into a positive open position so they are held open when you're driving along. It's the same system as proper Mini's, E-Types etc.
