Welcome aboard. 8)

They're new to me, so haven't heard anything, good or bad.

It is news to me that 'Many of the Mazdas are imported from Japan, whereas some of the Ford Fredas are imported or are UK born and bread'. :?

Just a little detail.

Newbury Discount Trucks: l've just bought a Freda from them after a glowing recommendation. Tired of looking at heavily over-priced, dubious examples at conventional dealers, or dire private examples, l knew l needed honest professionalism. Yes, the recommendation was absolutely correct: the vehicle was better than described, the price was fair, and the pre-deilvery work completed exactly as guaranteed. Even a minor post-sale issue was addressed without quibble.
As a life-long motoring enthusiast, and self-taught
amateur mechanic, l know enough to know when I'm out of my depth: the Bongo is a more sophisticated vehicle than the straightforward, old-style British cars I'm used to, so experience and expertise is needed. They have it in abundance, together with a welcome lack of self-importance. Unlike the service history of most vehices I've bought, the history from Discount Trucks bespeaks honest pricing and no repeat visits for the same job.
They're a bit out of the way, but worth finding.
