How to fit a kayak or canoe on bongo

Got our Bongo a month ago & the only thing I’m struggled with, is how to transport my kayak on it. Andy at Andys Imports didn’t recommend fitting a roof rack to his aftermarket flip roofs. My kayak is a Perception Scooter (SOT) at about 10 foot long, so not a biggie. I could probably fit it inside, but then i lose a lot of storage. Also not ideal when its wet/sandy/muddy!
Has anyone found any other way to fit it on or in a Bongo

Hi Sven You say you are advised not to fit a rack to your roof. Your best bet is to source a roof rack which fits to the guttering. Obvious drawback though is you'll have to remove it to raise the roof. But at least you'll be avoid putting it inside.

Any idea where i can get one of those? Most of the ones I’ve seen aren’t tall enough to go over the flip roof!

I've just been on ebay and put in 'roof rack gutter fitting' which came up with a set with high brackets which should clear your roof. Also the Land Rover bars look as though they would give sufficient clearance. There's a set called Rhino 2 for a Land Rover. Best check with the suppliers first to se hat the clearance is.
