Ours was converted by Battersea Autogas (http://www.autogas4u.co.uk) a bit over a year ago and all seems well. We paid £1300 for V6 conversion and saved £400 so far on 4000 miles. They are UKLPG approved and did the paperwork that's needed. The only thing is their location, if you don't like driving in London it may not be the best, although it is just off the A3 so not too bad.
There's a list of Approved Installers at http://www.drivelpg.co.uk/approved-installers/

The experience of driving LPG is identical to running on petrol - just much cheaper!

We used LPG Auto Conversions in Kent when the Romano system went pop on our V6. They were excellent and I'd have no issues going back there. Steve is a proper old school lpg chap; been fitting and fixing them for years and knows his stuff, he was not fazed at all by a Bongo.

He replaced the LPG ECU and controller, and repaired some wiring bodged by the original installer. That was back in March and we've had no problems with the system since.

They are easily Google-able and have a FaceAche page too.

edit - this (if it works!) is a link to a post they made on their fb page following the work on our van.

Recommended to me by several people. Fitted a new vapouriser to my V6 with a Prinz system.

New Farm Motor Services Alton Hampshire. Mainly commercial vehicles. Very limited on line information, but appear to ne able to tackle anything.

Question for New Forest Terrier
Hi, I am based also in New Forest ( New Milton ) I need a mechanic who will change cam belt on a V6 who are you currently using for your Bongo related work - mine doesn`t seem too confident with larger vehicles.
Also what was the price you paid for the LPG conversion and did you make any particular specifications.

Regards
Pete H

I use DIscount Trucks at Ashmansworth near Newbury. They changed the can belt on my V6 along with water pump and seals, two years ago. They are Bongo experts. Fred and Gerry are absolute experts. If they can't fix it, it probably can't be fixed.
They have my V6 in at the moment with a leaking sun roof. See Southern Bongo Owners for pictures of a major rebuild in operation. It looks like a bomb exploded. But they will get it together again without the internal shower.

A lot of people would pay good money for an internal shower fitted in their Bongo ;-)

Not if they were trying to sleep in it at the time. PLUS there was no off switch. The roof stopped being watertight in Cornwall with two days of torrential rain.https://www.facebook.com/groups/friende ... 0900524980
