Radiator coolant level dropped

Hi all,
My local mechanic just replaced the radiator on my bongo. He didn't bleed the system (didn't know that when the bongo was collected by my wife) and by the time my wife drove the 10 minutes home the air in the system was firing like a machine gun in the top plastic tank.
I've bled the system using the see saw method this morning, ........2 hours later heaters hot, rear o/s hoses warm etc. coolant levels all at topped up and took the van for a 20 mile drive to check it out. Temp gauge sat just below the middle, front and rear heaters blowing hot air. Got home and checked coolant level and noticed it had dropped slightly went out to van an hour later and it had dropped to low. There was no evidence of a leak when I bled the system.
Is this normal or is the drop in coolant showing a leak elsewhere? It's presently raining so can't see any leaks/coolant patches on the ground.
