Alarm / immobilizer recommendations?

I am mostly after a remote central locking upgrade with an immobilizer, looks like I would need a remote central locking upgraded and then a Thatcham Cat 2 that has transponder of some kind? so looks like I would be better with a Cat 1 alarm system, can anyone recommend a system that doesn’t keep going off with the local boy racers driving past or when the pigeons use the van for target practice?

My Toad system seems reliable enough, other than needing to always kill the sonic sensors when the AFT is up as there is too much air movement.

I've got a Toad as well, which seems to work well. Geoff, remind me how to disable the sonic sensors, to save me having to try and find the instructions?
Cheers,
Malc

Press the Lock button twice on my version giving a second bleep. Might depend on version of course.

I also have a toad Ai606 cat 1 alarm, does all the things your looking for.
Any alarm with ultrasonic sensors will normally have to be disabled if you want to leave the roof up or windows down regardless of which make or model you get. Most decent makes of alarm can be upgraded with an optional microwave sensor which overcomes this issue, they would normally be fitted to convertible cars so the alarm can be active with the roof down.
