Exhaust back box

Thought the exhaust was blowing yesterday, today the back box fell off!
Luckily no other damage, stopped and pulled it off the rubbers.
Am still out at the moment, so haven't had a proper look. I see euro car parts has one for £50 or so. Is it an easy bolt on job or is it an akward angle to get it over the axle? Will the bolts actually undo?

Even better, eurocarparts has an offer code this weekend, so it comes out at £37

What about treating the beast to a new system right through?

I've not needed a new front section in 11 years of ownership, but middle and back box are not a bad idea for replacing at the same time to avoid the irritation of either going again for a while. The last time I did mine, they were not hard at all to do, just need to have the correct gaskets and maybe new nuts and bolts to hand. These days though, I'm inclined to let my mechanic do it (old bones and no hydraulic lift etc)

Easy job. Perfectly accessible esp if you raise that side up a few inches. I recall reluctant bolts but nothing worse than that.

front pipe looks ok, middle pipe has a hole in it behind the rear flange. So another £65 for that pipe

Oh and wear good safety glasses to avoid rust scales getting in your eyes as you undo bolts etc

All done, not the most pleasurable job, but not the worst ever.
Just two bolts to undo as I left the middle section attached to what was left of the rear section. Then 4 bolts to do up with the replacement.

Nice one thats that for a bit.
Strange the back box was cheaper than the pipe
How is the carpet looking any pixs of the finished job?

There was a weekend sale on at eurocarparts (with the code WEEKEND55) - the back box is normally £53.99. The centre silencer is normally £94.99. Both of these are apparently already reduced (from £64.32 and £113.28 respectively). I figured the centre box was more because it has the silencer and the flexi bit, so although smaller and lighter it has more bits to it. The end price was about £102 for both sections.
Really happy with the carpet, I don't think I ever took any pictures of them fitted inside the bongo - I said it needed tidying first! Since then it has had all sorts in it! Will get some pictures sorted and posted up soon.
