Bongo Fury

No matter how hard I try I just cannot erect my OLPro Loopo Drive Away Awning (non-inflatable) without there being a gap of aproximately 6 inches around the side. Also, hooking the pins into the ends of the poles is getting to the point that I can see the fabric starting to fray and the potential loss of fingers.

What is going wrong here?

Could I literally cut 6 inches off the lowest support poles to make it work?

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I can't think cutting 6" off the legs is meant to be the way to erect it!
Any pictures ?

I don't know the awning specifically but experienced similar when pole joints weren't fully engaging. Some horizontal sections were worse.
Uneven ground can also cause this.
Have the legs got adjusters?
If it's brand new there is the possibility of some wrong parts.
