Trish - Postcode for the campsite is WS15 2UA although that's not entirely accurate, use 52.745157, -2.000030 in your SatNag if you're using one.

Hi Trish, yes - that's about the sum total of the facilities so you need to be pretty much self-sufficient.

Wifey and me will probably make this one (subject to about 30 caveats)! Looking forward to Ian G.

We'll only be there for the Saturday night, Muppet has things to do on Friday and then she's swimming on Sunday. Probably arrive midday Saturday and have to be away by about 11 on Sunday.
Muz Jr is planning to attend also, even though he's now officially a southern softie he fancies roughing it with the old crowd

We'll bring him a feather pillow and hot water bottle to Wallingford in the spring.

I'll be there on the Friday. Spending 2 nights at Ashbourne CCC to top up the LB and have a shower or two (Wed and Thu) after my leisurely drive down from Silverdale, over Bowland and the Peak District. Hoping to wild it or use Britstops in between.

Another good weekend at Cannock Chase for the die-hards who made it to this, it’s a very basic site but in a beautiful part of the country plus there are a lot of bike trails for the fitness freaks amongst you (I noted it was only Muz Jr who bought a bike with him
)
But the weather was good for the time of year, rather better than the previous weekend at Silverdale
A few photos from us...
Tackeroo Caravan Site, Cannock Chase
Tackeroo Caravan Site, Cannock Chase
If you go down to the woods today...
...you’re sure of a big surprise...
...because once Muz lights the barbecue, nothing is safe
Muzette chilling – I didn’t really set her on fire
You can’t really beat this for the last weekend of October
It’s just the camera angle, Muz Jr hasn’t really just dropped his strides
A hive of industrious activity...
...as several pumpkins are carved
Meanwhile, Jr is ready to go off on the infamous Follow-the-Dog and Monkey Trails
Partners in crime – The Sausage-Monsters!
More pumpkin creativity
Muzette’s new best friend, a CockaPoo called Pickles
The result of a lot of hard work...
...which really looked the part given the surroundings
Beer, wine & burnt sausages...
...what more could you ask for!
Muz Jr trying to eat his breakfast while a posse of onlookers watch for the slightest slip
