audio with benefits

Struggling with my audio, no right hand side sound front or rear. Been at it for a couple of days and discovered both pairs of cables to the right of the vehicle don't create a circuit when I use a multi meter. Obviously they should if they are connected to a speaker. The chances of both speakers being duff is pretty slim I reckon and the the loom that goes into the front door looks terrible but does that explain the back ? Any clues...............theres a shot in the dark.
Looked at the useful manuals in the sticky but they didn't help me because I'm a dim wit  .

Now for the benefits.
You know when you look at old vehicle wiring it has cotton adhesive tape instead of modern plastic stuff ? Well I do a lot of motorcycling and ride with a bit of perfectionist who wanted the old style tape.......can't find it anywhere................then he discovered
Hockey stick tape.............................wallah, exactly the same with the same shit to blanket and waterproof properties.

Now, gents can we please sort my speakers. [-o<

Thanks for the reply,
The whole problem is that the wiring to the rear and front speakers doesn't make a circuit which it should. So what I've got is four wires that power the speakers but none of them make a circuit which they should so my suspicion is that there are connectors on the loom that are either faulty or not plugged in, all I've got to do is find them
