heater problem

Post by rocketeeer » Thu Oct 20, 2016 5:49 pm

When I dial-in the temperature I want the cabin at, anything from 31.5 degrees C or lower just produces cold air, whilst 32 degrees C produces a blast of very hot air.
Why's my heater system gone binary?

Have you checked the connector links to the left of the drivers feet
And is the air temp sensor clear - it's the little grill in the facia /dash to the left of the gear stick
Gas safe heating engineer / plumber if you need any advice just shout.

On max (32) it ignores any inputs and just gives you full heat.
The fact you get heat on max means that the flaps are working and hot coolant is flowing through the heater, which is good!
When set to a lower temp (31.5 or less) it "intelligently" adjusts the heat ouput according to the cabin temperature. Hence gasy's advice to check the cabin temp sensor and its connections.
