handbrake assembly

Post by dreamwarrioruk » Fri Oct 20, 2006 7:31 pm

help please,
after removing the wire for my alarm on the handbrake sensor the little spring flew off and i cant figure how it goes back together correctly.
would someone please remove their console and take a close up photo so i can put mine together correctly.
currently i cant use the handbrake and the warning light shows all the time because the little wire is constant contact with the metal chassis.
or if no photo a discription of how the parts fit together in the correct order.
theres only 4 parts but at 1.45 this morning i was too tired to continue with it.
2 hours to fit a replacement turbo and 5 hours to stop it smoking and then rebuild it all again.

cheers cause this is all ive got left to build.

same principal as door switch but couldnt get my head round it.
changed oil in it, cleaned out the breather pipe and air pipe from filter to turbo.
went out in it to work today with no smoke, best guess is as you said and it was condensation from being stood for 3 weeks.
fumes that came out of the breather were very wet and in the filler cap was all manky, well after the oil change a lot dryer and the caps cleared itself up again.
early days got to keep an eye on all levels.
