Seem to remember reading that just disconnecting the batteries was not enough if SP were fitted to the vehicle.
Tried Solar solutions today and left message but no response, need to get some tacks in tomorrow.
Anybody hear of that?

Belt & Braces if you disconnect them.

Not something I had actually thought about, but I don't think I would risk not disconnecting the SP as well as the batteries if welding.

I think it was more to do with the controller than the panel tho, suppose I should disconnect the lot to be sure.

Bongolia, you can just remove the fuses from the holders above each battery. Then to be properly safe you could always remove the ground from the controller behind the glovebox (if we're talking about my old one

)
