SB and LB Recommendations Please

Hello,

Following on from my thread about my flat batteries...
http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... =3&t=72783

I may have to replace both of them, so would appreciate any advise as to what to get.

The existing LB is a Powerline XV110MF (12V 110 Ah) from Tayna, however they no longer do this battery and have suggested a lower 85 Ah battery instead. Not sure if I should be going for smaller as when I do camp (which is most weekends, Friday to Sunday, from April till August) its away from EHU so I rely on the battery and solar panel to power the fridge and my CPAP machine. So, any thoughts?

As to the SB, I remember years ago hearing about a SB that had a segregated section within it that would only be used when it needed to jump start itself. Did such a battery ever make it to production? I did try to Google it but could not find it. Probably not used the right combination of key words....

Many thanks :-)

Hello,

I did have a quick read up on them:
https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/article ... ics.html#2

And the recommendation seems to be to be more specific as the construction between the two batteries differ.

Just measure up the tray and select the largest capacity battery that will fit in the height, there are several in the Powerline range that would fit most trays and be greater than 100AmpHr capacity.

That's the approach I would take.

Pick the biggest one that will fit and looks like good value on the Tanya website. Just make sure the '+' and '-' terminals are in the right way round.
