Hi,
Yes the battery will be charged by the altenator when the engine is running. However it will take a significant journey to replenish a totaly flat battery back to full charge. Also if you have an electrical hook up the battery will usually charge whilst the mains is in use. The question is this, what has flattened the battery? Have you been running 12v accessories to flaten the battery if so that explains the battery being flat. If not you need to find what has been draining the battery.
Cheers

It should charge when you drive but may be disconnectd by a switch, in which case it won't, but may not be flat.
Have you tried a volt meter on it? Can you put a charger on it?
If it is completely flat it will likely be damaged beyond repair.
If all else fails a local car shop or garage will be able to check it and supply one at fairly short notice, but of course they can be had cheaper from tinternet in a couple ofmdays.
Depending on how your conversion is wired/set up you may well be able to manage without it, especialy if you have hook up.

I had this problem and it drove me nuts. Finally we found that the stereo seemed to be permanently on (you could here it making a whiring noise when the engine was off). It was this that was flattening my leisure battery. I have no idea why they wired my stereo to the leisure battery. However my electrician pal installed a switch for me that turns off the leisure battery. I use it when I turn the engine off.
Works an absolute treat! Bit hard to explain but if you need a picture let me know.
Cheers

Try and find out if the LB charges off EHU, if it doesn't then take a charger with you and hook that up from mains.

Some of the Aldi/Lidl radios do this, possibly others, too.
It would have been changed over to run off the LB so you can use it on site without draining the Starter Battery, along with interior lights/blinds/anything else you use off 12v when parked up.
This keeps the SB full for (er) starting only.

If your hook up lead will reach a home supply you can plug in with something like this:

Should help diagnostics and you can chill the fridge before you set off.
