Where do people jack the front end?

I came to have a quick look at replacing the drop link today.

However I couldn't really find a good spot to jack the front corner up.

Where does everyone else jack the Bongo up from?

I was using a trolley jack.

I found in the manual that it showed a place in the middle at the front which lifts both wheels. I tried there but it just lifted the other wheel before running out of travel!

I also have a heavy duty bottle jack but that wouldn't go under (have used that on other vehicles before by driving onto pieces of wood first).

Pretty sure I've got a smaller bottle jack somewhere but couldn't find it.

Anyway - where do you jack the Bongo from? Would prefer to just jack the one corner if possible.

Also once up in the air are there any good spots to put my axle stands?

jack up under the bush marked 34-460 on this link. it has a metal rounded mount that helps to keep the jack head in place and stop it sliding, it also allows the suspension to drop/move whilst supporting the bongo weight.

Excellent, thanks for the answer.

I'd looked at that but wasn't 100% sure it was strong enough and didn't want to risk it. Didn't fancy the weight of the bongo deforming it.

However if you've tried and tested it there, then that is good enough for me.

Thanks

I always jack mine up on the chassis x member just behind the front wheel and use an axle stand

I managed on the point suggested above, and put two axle stands in place and the wheel underneath for good measure!
