The picture shown is identical to those that have a Northern dual battery system, the terminal connector the route of the cable across the front and down to the starter all point to it being a dual starter setup and not converted for leisure battery work.

What g8dhe says (while I was typing!)
Also with "Quick Start" plastered over both batteries, sort of says 2 starter batteries.
Not a deal breaker as installing a split charge relay and moving over the usual 4 circuits is about £100 DIY. Add say £30-£50 to have it done for you. You'd probably also want to get a proper LB to replace the existing battery - < £100
Also I can't spot wiring for an LCA - could be hidden from view. Shame on previous owner if there isn't one.

Another vote for 2 starter batteries, I used the nearside one as a leisure battery by fitting an isolator switch between the two batteries, so that both batteries didn't get flattened.

I have always used a starter battery in the leisure battery role. Never found a need for a Liesure battery.I understand the deepp cycle thing but honestly never found a difference.

I'm not surprised at all to read that! Of course it all depends in your needs but in practice my LB is used mainly when driving but gives me peace of mind if i choose to use power whilst engine not running. For that, a second SB would do fine. I have a 135Ah Energy Bull LB though that will I hope handle more demand than a 70Ah SB. I have used it on two occasions also to quick charge a flat SB, and that saved me two tedious callouts.Bongolia wrote:I have always used a starter battery in the leisure battery role.
