Using solar controller load terminals

Hi - more electrical Qs I'm afraid!

So my nice shiny new Waeco compressor fridge wasn't running at all well off my rear ciggie lighter, as folks have observed previously. I've now wired it up to the load terminal of my solar controller (mainly because it's easier than doing a cable run to the LB) and it runs flawlessly.

I've got a fuse close to +ve on the LB from the solar controller, but do I now need another fuse between the +ve LOAD terminal of my solar controller and my fridge?

Thanks in anticipation...
Tim

The controller itself has safety circuits built in to handle power from the Panel itself.
The wiring from the controller to the fridge provided it has the same thickness as from the battery to the controller will not require an extra fuse (fuses protect the wiring not the device) if you use thinner wiring than from battery to controller then yes an extra fuse would be required.
