My interior fluorescent tube is not fully lighting up when I open the sliding door. Obviously on its way out. Where can I get a new one?

There are two types in a Bongo .....
The older straight tube style, where the outer plastic case is constant in width depth along its length,
and the newer style where a "U" tube is used and the plastic case is thinner at one end away from the switch.

The newer style "U" is almost impossible to get, and so most are replacing it with LED panels see link below;

The older type can be replaced with a straight LED replacement tube, but there have been some hiccups with some types available see this thread http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... 27#p667227

Both types are available via the Bongo Shop: http://bongoland.co.uk/product-category/lighting/

I thought mine was on the way out when i bought my Bongo 10 years ago. I bought a new one and fitted it but the dimness persisted. So i gave the various connections a good clean and hey presto, the light commenced to shine brightly and it has ever since, just as the spare bulb/element has remained in my glove compartment. Moral of this story is.........etc.

I gave up with the dim u tube in my van, struggled to find a replacement so followed g8dhe's excellent instructions and fitted a cob light and all under a fiver. I now have an interior light so bright its' visible from space. Only thing is that it does get hot after a while so I've mounted it on a heat sink that I made up from some aluminium sheet.

Very easy job many thanks to g8dhe =D>
