Air con leak 97 2.5 TD SGL5
Hello everyone!
My first post on my new Bongo, (yay!) but sadly...
Air con is leaking from above this dual air con pipe connector.(Picture attached) It's not the o ring that this connector fits on to, that's been changed, but somewhere into the body above it.
So does anyone know how I get at the pipe work in the body please? Assuming that's where it goes.
Actually, I can't upload the picture - this forum stops even a tiny 6.49 kb (250 x 198 pixel) photo - "File too large" What size does it need to be?
This is the two main aircon pressure pipes in the centre of the bongo driver's side that lead up into the body somewhere - any idea where anyone? I have a conversion there so can't see the floor. As I say, would load a pic but can't....
Many thanks
Alan

There are TWO air con units the front and the rear, the pipes your referring to feed the cooling matrix for the rear air con.
See the pages below for details of the piping and the system;
http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/
select the year of vehicle then look under "Body and Interior" there are several diagrams.

Hi Geoff
Firstly many thanks for replying!
Yes, I'd already found the Lush projects info, but I can't see where this relates to the body entry, unless I'm looking at the wrong drawing.
I've looked at drawings "Air Conditioning 01 of 02 and "02 of 02", but neither help with where these pipes go to in the body.
I've also looked at "Rear Air Conditioner", wish looks like it might show my 2 pipes, going into part # 6126 - but this part is not visible, so how do I access it?
Wish I could load a pic to show the problem.
Thanks Alan

I guess your referring to the two pipes that go up behind the drivers set position, you access the rear aircon by pulling out the unit or fridge in the conversion and then the air con unit seats in a well at the rear against the outer body panel

You can see the pipework taking the air up to the overhead vents on the far left, and the air con unit sitting in the well along the bottom.

You sir, are a genius! That is exactly what I'm looking for.
The garage said they pulled the fridge out but couldn't see anything, so I will have to have a good delve myself then and see what is there.
I assume though the interior side plastic body trim panel has to come off to access this? And I might have to remove at least part of the conversion to do this?
They said the leak was from upwards of the 2 pipes going into to this unit and they had already replaced the pipe O rings and indeed the actual pipes up to this unit. But the leak is still coming downwards from inside the body, so must be the actual aircon unit The Aircon itself works fine ice cold front and rear, just this leak point!
Thanks so much again!
