The bongonaut's apprentice's mate has been told to post!! Maisy less than a month in our family and already adored seems to be temperamental when asked to pack up and go home. We know about the handbrake , being in park and engine on but has needed some coaxing . Any ideas ? We are making our group debut at Kings Lynn in July so hope by then to have it sorted if not we will be wracking others brain cells.

Might just be an issue with the switch. Mine had the odd moment in the damp of winter but a squirt of Comma electric contact cleaner sorted it. Much less common to hear of failures to go down rather than up, as the nurse said to the bishop

You've said its temperamental but you haven't actually said what is happening / not happening ? Is it beeping, is it moving badly, is it not stopping to bleep at the bottom ?

Refuses to go down sometimes obedient other times does nothing .. As I said we know about engine running, hand brake and park mode but has just refused on occasions to budge. We have walked away and come back to it and she works .. Just worried one day she won't !!!

As said before mine was/is the switch. Might be worth seeing if George at Bongo Spares has one, if they are easy to swap over. Doing something similar with my central locking relay produced an instant fix. There's no doubt that switches and contacts are a growing issue as Bongos age.

Good luck, keep us posted. [-o<
