Post by Bongalow Bill » Wed May 11, 2016 12:18 pm

Anyone know of a burner / hob -sink that would fit 455mm x 455mm?

My only option so far is a smev PI8621RP

Thanks in advance

Isn't much choice available apart from Smev.
Smev do a far bigger range its just finding some one who stocks them all as most seem to just push certain models.
I have a spare Smev 4 burner with grill in the garage looked on line and can only see one boating type place selling them but its ideal for a camper its so compact
I used domestic two burner in mine and an old sink from a coach

Just looked at the one you quoted thats very small and expensive, I feel a twin burner one would be better
If you look at the Camping DF200 this is one of the most compact stoves I know of, it could easily be secured to the work top, in my experience two burners are much better, I cook outside using a Coleman petrol stove.

I do like the idea of a twin burner, this looks the only option for my space http://www.jacksonsleisure.com/caravan- ... ravan-hob/

Any idea on the type of gas bottles required?

Any bottle will be fine as long as you buy the correct regulator.
If using it in Winter use Propane.
Space will be the issue
Camping 907 is the smallest but they are expensive at £23 + £50 deposit
Calor etc do a 4.5 or 7 Butane, or a 6kg Propane

So iv just picked up a retro Ender's 2 burner stove, any ideas how I connect to a gas bottle? All that's on the back is a threaded copper tube does the regulator screw onto this?

If its a permeant install it should be hard piped usually in copper which should be clipped in position from the stove to a hose tail and then a flexi hose between the hose tail and regulator.
If its portable a hose tail on the stove then flexi hose to the reg.
To be honest unless you are 100% certain what you are doing pay some one to do it for you.

You can buy the bits from Ebay etc but may be easier to try locally to het the right size hose tail, heres one of the many different sizes and types, a Caravan / camping shop will have all the bits

Great! Thanks it does indeed look like I need a hose tail! Thanks for the name of that part my local garage sells all the other bits, is it likely they will stock a hose tail?

Thanks again

Any camping / caravanning / outdoor leisure shop will stock suitable regulator and hose.
