Hi,

Our Freda has decided to make a metal on metal squeal when braking in a left turn and seems to be coming from the front offside wheel. The brake pads were new in Sept. last year, and look to have loads left on them, so my next thought was to take the caliper off, and see if anything is out of alignment. There lies the problem.....
When trying to undo either of the caliper bolts, they would not budge. Short of a big hammer, has anyone successfuly unsiezed these bolts? I wouldnt have thought WD40 is such a plan near the brakes....

Plus gas is better however again not really near brakes you aren't changing. To be honest I've only ever got caliper bolts off on brakes I'm changing, so haven't given too hoots about getting it on the old discs!

Windy gun would be the next silly suggestion :D

Sometime a quick tap with a hammer to tighten the bolts UP may free a stuck bolt.
