Allans vehicles said it was on way out 2 years back and now it has a hole in it and is blowing. Nice sound!
I have seen this one £100 http://www.bongospares.co.uk/shop/exhau ... converter/

and this new one £179 http://www.mazdabongo.com/catalog/new-e ... 5-01-p-579

Thoughts from the Bongo sages, please.

Given the difference in cost, I'd go for a new one as there is no way of telling how the used one has been been treated or how much more life is in it.

The weld he did lasted well! :D He said he'd go for the new one as if it lasts as long as the previous one it's worth the money (and you know it's history).
