Tow Bar Box or Roof Bars

Im wanting some extra storage for the bongo for when we go away. What do people recommend? Obviously budget is a massive thing, but Im not sure which route to go.

We have a mushroom roof so obviously options for having roof bars are limited. Does anyone have recommendations for companies that supply bars that are high enough to clear the roof...or are there other options.

With the tow bar box option....is it just bak rak that do this option? Do people get the platform type option and then put their own box on or use the box straight on the tow bar option?

Help and advice is, as always, massively appreciated.....Hopefully once my learning curve has reached a point I may be able to give and not just receive!!! :D

Thanks

If you have somewhere to keep it a trailer is a good option.

Remember if you fit a box onto the towbar your max weight is 85kgs, ie the 'Nose Weight' if it was a trailer, and this also counts towards your total load of about 1/2 ton. Any coversion has to be allowed for, too.

Hope that helps. :)

Heartily agree with that. Quickly detached, no load on suspension or bodywork, easily towed, and excellent on site storage and home storage especially if it has a weatherproof hard top. Your stuff can be kept ready to go at all times.

Yup, i advised tbem on the design of T2 and its ancillaries. I suggested a Bongo shape fuselage but they didn't buy into that, explaining that it needed to fly and not just wild camp. Hey ho
