Use of the Marquee

We have live bands on Friday and Saturday nights, a meet-the-Bongonauts session on Thursday evening, and the club AGM Sunday lunchtime. But the marquee is available at all other times if anyone wants to organise anything.

I suspect the 'knit & Natter' will be popular, and a memorial to Edna.

Can we bolt down the benches to encourage more people to attend events at the Marquee. They all got taken to pitches last year.
They were also blooming heavy to return after everyone had gone home. Some did bring em back.

If some one does organise the Knit & Natter sessions, then I am planing on bringing up a LOT of wool, magazines and the like which will be available for donations to Ed's favourite charity -

Assume they will be running. And can someone bring some tables?

Like i said earlier if if we keep the tables at the Marquee they can be used by all.
Could the Craft fair be held later so that people on the coach trip can buy some tat, [goodies] too ?

Sue will be knitting and nattering for certain.
Good point about tables Baz, its b****y annoying when stuff get 'Borrowed' and is coralled behind windbreaks with no one even on the pitch.
C&CC Provided picnic tables for a couple of years which were invaluable for tent/light weight campers but the same thing happened, result? They were removed.

As long as some donut doesn't try and dance on the tables.
They will.

Geoff, I'm sure your offer of wool and patterns etc will be well received, I'm guesing you could just pick a slot which doesn't clash with anything already booked and advertise it on here.
Edit: How would 10.00 - 11.30 on the Saturday sound? That would give 30 mins to set up for the craft fair, or is the timing too tight?
Experience shows that after the first one informal knitting sesions will be sorted.

There are about 6 benches dotted around the site. We will put signs on them saying:
"You are quite welcome to borrow these but they are required at the craft fair in the marquee on Saturday morning from 11.30 to 6pm. Please ensure they are returned".
The coach trip returns at 4.15, so if we keep the craft fair open until 6pm that gives plenty of time for the late comers to pop over. But remember, the band has to set up from 6pm onwards.
