Rear seat - stitch removal?

I know you can have the stitching removed from the rear seats to make them flatter for a more comfortable "bed" - has anyone had this done? Or better still, done it themselves? Because that's what I'd prefer to do, if it's not a hugely technical job; any tips & hints would be very welcome. I have the technology... but I wouldn't want to inadvertently wreck the seat!

It might be worth trying to get a spare seat from one of the converters, that way you could have a practice.

Good point, thanks - I think our chap had tons of them stacked out the back, although I think he sells them! Maybe a less-than-saleable one...?

Worth a go, and remember when you collect it or remove yours they are *€**¥$~ heavy.

Two person lift for sure.
