Had my first view of the new VW T6, not much difference from the T5 to be honest, the dash is different, and grill and bumper have been altered and not much else.
£55000 for a full camper conversion, not a lot of van for your money I'm afraid.

If I had that amount sitting around I'm not sure that's what I'd buy. Lots will, though, and fair play.

We're off there tomorrow.

I'm really interested in the Wildax stand. If I won the lottery I'd buy a wildax solaris. Till then I suspect it'll be just a fantasy.

Saw them at the exhibition, we also checked out this type of van conversion before we made our purchase, the are a lot better value than the VW, and generally a good few grand cheaper, the only issues we had was where the toilet/shower area was situated in the van it really narrowed the isle/walkway in the van, also at the side entrance sliding door, the kitchen covered half the entrance space. That said the beds were situated mostly at the rear giving huge storage space under the beds, also there is virtually no chance of dampness ingress, a common fault on the seams of older coach builds. There must be well over 50 models of van conversions at various stalls at the show Sara.
To be honest even viewing the coach build motorhomes that were on display only about 10% were around the 40 grand of less mark, that was with special offers and special discount for the exhibition.
Personally I did not buy anything and Elaine bought a coat, we did think about buying 2 sides and front panels for our Dometic wind out awning however at £800 on offer for exdisplay that thought was dismissed. We may go for a basic driveaway awning, which can ce left in situ rather than having to strip down and wind in every time we decide to go for a trip in the van.

Judging by the stock levels at my local motorhome sales place, there is a boom on. I suspect a lot of it might be people cashing in their pensions to "live the dream". Somebody up the road bought a huge great 6 wheeler, it sat on his drive for a year without moving then suddenly disappeared, never to be seen again. I keep wondering how much he lost on it when selling.

55k for a Vee Wubblybus? Absolutely ridiculous!

Wouldn't worry, fifty five grand will make most of us do a double take.

Well we had a good nosy, still really like the Wildax Solaris sadly don't have £48,000 to spare at the moment.

If I had £55,000 to spare I would go for the new 4x4 Fiat Ducato Campervan which must be around that price. It does all that you need for wild camping with bags more room to boot with the latest Euro engine to enable you to pass through any city.
