Hi All,
I've recently acquired a rather nice R reg Bongo and I have the winter to ready it for family use when the rain finally stops...
It's previously been converted to a have a rear kitchen and the middle seats have been made rear facing with lap belts but the 3 point belts have been removed. I'm having the bench seat converted to a swivel base later this week so my first job, ahead of the seat conversion, is to replace the middle seat 3 point belts, I expected this to be a breeze.
I've received the belts from a rather friendly spares chap and just attempted to fir the near side, failed miserably. I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction or provide the in to a showing where the fitting points are?
On the near side I can see one fitting point under the carpet which seemed a problem free screw buts that as far as I got! Thinking about it, I have a few questions so probably best to list them:
Do the belt cassettes sit behind the interior trim?
If they do, how on earth do I remove the trim?
Both replacement belts seem to be locked (can't unroll them), could this just a consequence of them not being fitted?
Finally, I've looked at the top bolt fitting on both sides and the bolts simply aren't long enough reach through the belt section, trim and into the fitting, am I doing something wrong?
lastly, is the ground fitting on the off side behind the trim? If so, same as above - how do I remove it?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome aboard.
There's a lot of questions there, many which can only be answered once we know more about the conversion, but we will try to help.
If you pop a rough location in your profile someone local will likely help. If you're near me you're most welcome to look at our unconverted Bongo which should help.
