Bongo Fury

has anyone tried to fit an RX8 steering wheel to a Bongo? they seem to be fairly cheap on ebay.

Yes they fit but the air bag is different.

mazda 6 may be better dave, try this link it may say about others if you read through it all.

Hmm mine doesnt have an air bag might be interested in fitting the Rx8 wheel without the air bag.

Has anybody done it? Wondered whether you could get the stereo controls to link up, my wife would love it. I have a pre-airbag van, so would run it without the bag.

As per NB's link above, it has been done with Mazda 6 wheel. I've got one in the garage for when I get a few spare hours to fit.

I did mine and so did a mate, piece of cake - have a search you'll see a post by me.

Mine was with airbag and his was without - only thing to sort is two grooves cut into the back of the RX8 wheel to match the indicator cut outs and wire the horn.

Ah yes, teach me for posting at silly o'clock.
I may give this a go at some point, many other jobs to do first though, but it sounds like a laugh.
