I ve copped for an unfortunate one, being it a slight altercation with another car! can't believe i ve just had it over a week and i ve pranged my minty freda

anyway i would like to know if anyone has ever removed the interior trim of the boot? i got so far as to removing the little plastic clips no problem and the handle but it was still very much in place! i prised one corner to see behind the trim and noticed more clips, the look like they re held in place by a key hole shaped slot in the trim itself but i cant budge it to try and move the clips down the solts, any one any ideas? :?

I recently had to remove the rear trim panel from our Freda so that I could treat some rust.
Unless you have got access to a proper trim removal tool, then it's just a case of carefully using a big flat blade screwdriver under each of the stuborn clips, and try and lever it away from the tailgate. If that fails then just give a sharp pull on the panel local to each clip and hopefully it will come away.

will this damage the cipl mounts on the trim panel making it difficult to refit?
i had a screwdriver in there but i daren't exert to much force!

The proper clip removal tool is surprisingly cheap...

I removed mine with just one hard quick pull, and didn't break any clips.
I am away this weekend, so good luck!
