*New Owner* Cam Belt - Where is it? And where can I get one?

Hi people,
Just got my Bongo, and am wanting to have the cambelt changed but:
1. The mechanic can't find it!

Where is it?
2. I understand each cam belt is different and I have to get a Bongo-specific one. I've seen wildly differing prices on what look to be the same item. Can anyone suggest where I can get one?
I'm based in Hull.
Much appreciated!
Dee

if the mechanic couldnt find it id suggest you find a different one as it is in the same place as 99% of the cars on the market, look on the members area for bongo friendly garages,so you know that who is doing the job knows what they are doing ,genuine cambelt from mazda should be under ?70

Hi Dee. Welcome to the mad house.
You can order cam belts through the club shop - see here......
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/merchandise2.htm#belts
You should get the tensioner and spring changed at the same time. More info here....

How to change the cam belt.....

There is also a fact sheet on this in the member's area.
Somewhere (but I can't find it at the moment) there is a list of Bongo friendly garages just in case your mechanic still can't find the cam belt...

WOW. . . if your mechanic cant find the cam belt then I advise you not to leave your Bongo with him. . . does he know what a spanner looks like???

What's a cambelt? Is it a belt for fixing your camera onto?
