Rust repair recommendation Portsmouth or Hampshire

Hi

I have just bought a Bongo AFT, my first one! It has a minor rust patch on the drivers side front arch that I want to get properly sorted and resprayed. Also, there's an advisory from the last MOT of underside rust so I want to get it all cleaned up and Waxoyled. There is a Waxoyl centre in Portsmouth but first I guess I need to get the bodywork repaired. Does anyone know of a good bodywork centre in Portsmouth or nearby that they could recommend that has experience with Bongos?

The van itself *seems* sound, interior not worn at all, AFT and blinds, mirrors, windows etc all working well. It's a professional conversion by AVA Leisure and the sink, fridge, lights, hob all good. The engine and gearbox all running extremely smoothly, had cam belt and service done. It has 71k on odometer and I have no particular reason to doubt it given the internal wear and tear. But I do feel a bit sore as electrics in a strange state which was draining battery (wired relay on glowplugs with switch on dash! has been removed although some other strange switches remain unexplained), both main and leisure battery need replacing (but were shown to be working on sale) and starter motor needs replacing, found all that out to my cost on first outing! Grrrrr...

Hope someone can help so I can get on with enjoying my Bongo!

Cheers
Craig

You can get a repair kit for the starter motor for about £10

Make sure it's compatable with yours before ordering

There will be an extra elec switch for the rear fog light
But if you had a switch for starter plug relay sounds like you of the starter engine temp relays has a fault
They don't just use the glow plugs for starting , they keep coming on and off until engine up to temp,
Do you have lumpy tick over from cold start
