Bongo Fury

Hello. After advise please.... Our bongo is new to us, we have enjoyed just two weekend breaks and now it is stuck on the drive!
We have a Montague T reg, side conversion by 321 with a Cobra alarm and immobiliser. What happened........ I wanted to show van off to my sister so went to unlock, I pressed the keyfob to turn off the alarm, the indicators didnt flash as usual which I thought was a bit weird, but proceeded to unlock and go in, the alarm went off and I wasnt able to switch it off despite repeatly pressing and holding button on fob (and I tried our spare fob). When setting off our car alarm I jump in and turn on the engine and drive off and the alarm stops, I tried this forgetting that this is not possible due to the immobiliser working. For 20 minutes or so I pressed the key fobs, opened all doors and locked all doors, but the alarm wouldnt go off. I dashed up the local Timpsons to check to see if the battery was dead in the fobs, hoping this maybe the problem, it wasnt. When I returned the alarm wasnt going off just a constant beep. By morning all was silent! What do you think happened and what can I do next, have you experienced this? Many thanks in advance.

I would think the best thing would be to take it back to the installer if it was yourself that had it installed or just another Cobra dealer. We had an alarm on a previous vehicle and after speaking with them them it seemed I could take it to any dealer and they would adjust it, no problem went to a local firm and yes 20 minutes adjusted and tested at no charge.

Thank you for reminding me why I avoid after market alarms like the plague.

I have never ever had one that didn't play up, they have all been removed.

If it's an old Cobra alarm , they were problematical. The dealer I bought one car from said they had had several go wrong. They were fixed for later models.
When you decide on a new alarm, don't mention the make on here, as some "lurker " may know where you live, and prior knowledge of make of alarm is useful...none of them are that hard to by-pass, so mention make by P.M. only...your choice!

I would suggest that you contact 321 Away and ask them.
I purchased my bongo from them and I feel that they would be glad to assist.

Is there a small round 12mm binnacle in the cab with a red flashing light and a button? If so then you should have a 4 digit code number. Punch that in and it should reset!
