Has this suddenly started happening or is it a gradual onset? What happens if you put your foot down? Any black smoke? Does it drop a gear and take off well. Etc. Need to get a feel for what your problem is.

Faulty glow plugs might give lumpy starting from cold but shouldn't bother a warm engine. Gradual onset suggests its worth working through cheaper/simpler things: air filter, fuel filter, banjo filter in that order. If they've not been done for a while they're worth doing anyway. If problem persists, then start looking at fuel pump I reckon. But others more techie than me may have other thoughts. Good luck, keep us posted.

It could be the heater relay dropping out, does this only happen when Cold or is it constant.

Great news. What do you reckon had been causing it?

Could have been fouled injector cleared after good run?.
Or perished pipe from air intake to top of fuel pump.
