Hi Mike & Denise here from Devon new to Bongos bought a 2.5 V6 tin top in April 2015 but not had chance to use it for camping yet.
We have bought a Vango Kela 2 Standard Awning for the bongo and we are just checking if anyone has also bought one. We need to confirm if this product fits straight onto the guttering and the awning by using a 6mm figure of 8 or if we need to buy any other fittings.
Vango have confirmed that the figure of 8 length required is 248cm.
Someone at Outdoor Experience said that if possible do not have a join of the figure of 8 over the sliding door entrance or else you may have a leak in wet weather, is that true and if so how do you overcome it.
We would welcome anyones experience in this matter.

Mike & Denise

I got a Kela ii and it works fine with a figure of 8 attachment. First night with the awning up we had a massive storm and all stayed intact. Cracking awning!

I should add that I sawed the plastic so that I could have a big piece over the side door and smaller pieces at the ends. Didn't have any leakage at all, though.

Hi I've, sorry we've just joined the club, and awaiting the arrival of our Nortstar converted Bongo. I've been looking at all sorts of drive away awnings, and was quite impressed with the Vango air range. Having been camping using a fishing pole type tent, which I found difficult to erect, I'm intrigued by this method of putting up an awning. Has anyone got any gripes about Vango range? Nice to be on board. Alf :D
