Bongo Fury

Hello all.

So after my initial problems with the bongo I purchased a couple of weeks ago, I've taken the bold step and went on a rather long journey. I'm currently in Austria and the Bongo is holding together extremely well. I just have some questions about the TM2 I fitted to monitor temperature. I have been running with an average temperature of around 84 and occasionally it has went as high as 91. Are these values what I should be expecting and at what point should I be worried? I find that my eyes are glued to the temperature reading more than anything else.

Was also wondering how I can do a quick test to make sure the scavenger fan is coming on?

It all depends on which engine you have and where the sensor is fitted....however, those temps are perfectly o.k. For any engine, perhaps a bit high if petrol.

It is a diesel engine and i fitted the sensor at the rear of the block into an existing tapped hole. Put it in the same place as the included photograph with the kit. I just reached 96 while climbing a hill and not sure if i should continue?

That's fine...don't worry.....it will alarm at 100C and that is still well within max. You may find it will alarm if you get up to around 95C then stop and then switch on again within 15 mins, this is just ' heat soak' and nothing to worry about. If it ever gets to 110c it's time to stop and find out why.
